Twenty Iowa 4-H'ers have received $500 Pioneer Community College 4-H scholarships sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc. Recipients are from Audubon, Cedar, Cerro Gordo, Chickasaw, Clarke, Clayton, Emmet, Greene, Hamilton, Johnson, Jones, Madison, Mahaska, Montgomery, Poweshiek, Story, Tama, Wapello and West Pottawattamie counties.

Science, engineering, technology and math (STEM) interests have expanded through 4-H clubs in recent years and Iowa State University Extension Science, Engineering and Technology (E-SET) wants to encourage this growth. This year, 40 4-H programs received mini-grants to use for STEM-focused activities.
