The Iowa 4-H Center is seeking volunteers to help spruce up the camping center on Spring Volunteer Day April 27. The center’s volunteer day coincides with Global Youth Service Day, April 26-28, a weekend of service throughout the world.

National 4-H Council has received a $500,000 gift from the Monsanto Company to drive the continued expansion of the National 4-H Volunteer Initiative. The new grant will fund several initiatives including continued outreach to attract and retain 4-H volunteers in 39 states, including Iowa.

With food, entertainment and more than 125 auction packages, the Iowa 4-H Foundation's Fourth Annual Gala, presented by John Deere, raised $92,000 to support the Iowa 4-H program statewide and at the club level. Even some 4-H youth played a role in reaching this amount.
