A total of 152 4-H youth from 55 counties completed written applications and face-to-face interviews for the state-level 4-H award opportunity this year. The awards are given to youth who have exhibited mastery, leadership, communication and service in a specific project area.

High school youth may register now for the first bilingual and multi-cultural 4-H Maize retreat, May 15-17 at the Iowa 4-H Center in Madrid. Youth who will be entering ninth through 12th grade in the 2015-2016 school year are eligible to participate.
