This week 15 Spencer youth were able to “Experience Medicine.” Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Clay County partnered with the Spencer Hospital to offer area youth in grades 6-8 a hands-on opportunity to experience medical careers.

A skilled Iowa 4-H robotics team was invited to showcase their award winning robotics demonstration at the Iowa State Capitol in May. They’d accepted an invitation from Iowa’s Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds, a proponent of STEM education and co-chair of the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council in Iowa.
