The Great Plains Growers Conference and Trade Show will be Jan. 10-12, 2013 at the Fulkerson Center on Missouri Western State University’s campus in St. Joseph, Mo. Kaye Strohbehn has been hired as an agriculture producer and consumer education specialist for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in northwestern Iowa. Strohbehn began serving Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola and Sioux counties Nov. 5 as education specialist after serving the region as an extension county program coordinator.

Iowa State researchers will be conducting free nutritional screenings for older Iowans Dec. 17 at Heartland Senior Services in Ames, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The ISU research team will be using new measurement tools to detect malnutrition in older adults.
