FSQA Training and Testing for 4-H & FFA Livestock Exhibitors
The following dates have been set for the 2013 FSQA Testing at the Appanoose County Extension Office:
Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 3:30pm-5:30pm
Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 3:30pm-5:30pm
The following date has been set for FSQA Training at the Appanoose County Extension Office:
Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 6:00pm
FSQA is an educational program with the purpose of:
1. Helping youth understand their role in the food supply chain.
2. Educate youth about the importance of following a quality assurance program.
3. Certify exhibitors in FSQA.
Ther certification may happen in 2 ways: attend a 2 hour class or obtain certification by testing.
JUNIOR MEMBERS - GRADES 4-6
- MUST take the class every year as a junior.
INTERMEDIATE MEMBERS -GRADES 7-9
- Option 1: Take the class every year.
- Option 2: Take the class and then take the test. When the test is passed, you don't have to take it again until you are a senior members.
- Option 3: Take the test and pass. You don't have to take it again until you are a senior member.
SENIOR MEMBERS - GRADES 10-12
- Option 1: Take the class every year.
- Option 2: Take the class and then take the test. Once passed as a senior, you no longer need to attend the class or re-test.
- Option 3. Take the test and pass. Once passed a senior, you no longer need to attend the class or re-test.
*For FSQA purposes, the former Junior/Intermediate/Senior breakdown of ages is used. See Above.
