Appanoose County Leadership Development

Appanoose County Leadership 2013 will include eight twice-a-moth training sessions focusing on topics that include leadership basics, understanding change, generational differences, communication and listening, volunteering, personality assessment, moving from planning to action, working together and conflict resolution. The sessions will be presented on the first and third Thursday of each month (starting February 21st), from 8:00am to 1:00 p.m., and will include a meal.

 The program is being sponsored by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and Appanoose County Extension.  There is a refundable registration fee for Appanoose County Leadership Development 2013 of $50. To receive the refund, participants will have to attend at least six out of the eight sessions.

 Training sessions will be taught by ISU Extension and Outreach community and economic development program specialists.

 Newly-elected and appointed officials are encouraged to register for the program, as well as long-time leaders interested in polishing their skills, and individuals interested in getting more involved in their community.
