The Northeast Iowa Food & Fitness Initiative invites all high schools in northeast Iowa to send teams to the FFI Youth Conference scheduled for November 18.
The conference will feature learning tracks for youth and advisors as they work with school and community stakeholders to improve food and fitness opportunities.
The conference will be held Wednesday, November 18 at Decorah Lutheran Church from 9 am to 2:15 pm. Registration will be from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Lunch and materials are provided.
This event is open to all interested in continuing the journey to making the healthy choice the easy choice. Registration is free but conference space is limited so early registrations are encouraged! The final deadline is Friday, November 6. The Fall Conference is supported by Iowa State University Extension, Walmart, Team Nutrition, and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, in addition to the Food & Fitness Initiative.
The NE Iowa Food & Fitness Initiative is working to create community environments that support access to fresh, locally grown, healthy, affordable food and safe environments for physical activity and play.
