Annie’s Project empowers farm women to be better business partners through peer networks. The program includes critical decision making and information topics on production, marketing, financial, legal and human resources risk management.

Second Farmland Drainage Workshop to Be Held Jan. 30

Plan to Attend the Great Plains Growers Conference

The Great Plains Growers Conference will be held Jan. 5-7, 2012, at the Fulkerson Conference Center on the Missouri Western State University Campus. The conference and tradeshow is a collaborative effort of growers associations and extension services from Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and South Dakota, and each year draws hundreds of producers from the region and beyond.

Farmland Value Reaches Historic $6,708 Statewide Average

Average Iowa farmland value is estimated to be $6,708 per acre, an increase of 32.5 percent from 2010, according to results of the Iowa Land Value Survey conducted in November. This is the highest percentage increase ever recorded by the Iowa State University annual survey.
