Iowa State University Extension will host an Ag Outlook & Management Seminar in Waterloo on Wednesday, November 12 starting at 8:30 a.m.  The site is the MidWestOne Bank located at 4510 Prairie Pkwy, Cedar Falls.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will host a series of meetings this fall for growers producing crops in high tunnels. Three meeting sites will offer the beginning “High Tunnel 101” workshop to current commercial fruit or vegetable growers and traditional farmers interested in diversifying their production.

Women with an interest in grain and livestock marketing are invited to join the 2014-2015 Women Agricutlure Marketing Club which will meet in monthly in Cresco.  Meetings will cover calculating cost of production, crop insurance, 2014 Farm Bill crop commodity programs, and marketing tools.

Manure applicator training for Commercial or Confinement will be held on the first Friday, at 9:00 a.m. during the months of February, April, June, August, October, and December. You must call and register at least one day in advance. If no reservations are received, the program will be cancelled. If there is a request for training on a day other than scheduled, there will be a $10 fee.
