Odor Control for Dry Manure Land Application Practices - Manure Additives

Pro Con
Little or no engineering needed Highly variable effectiveness
Many options to choose from Manufacturer stability

Manure additives have been widely debated as to their effectiveness in controlling odorous emissions. In general, there have not been any additives or classes of additives, so far identified, that routinely reduce odor during manure application. Costs are product-specific and often determined as much as application rate and frequency as by the cost per unit weight.
