In an effort to keep our branding consistent, we have created several email templates for staff to use when corresponding with clients. There are two different version of the templates:
- MailChimp Templates
These can be used on the online email software tool called MailChimp (www.mailchimp.com). See below for more information
- General HTML Templates
These can be used in other email software tools (i.e. Gammadyne Mailer, iContact and Constant Contact.)
Why MailChimp templates?
Extension Information Technology did a analysis of the top 3 online email software tools and determined that MailChimp provided the most features, the easiest design and process at the most cost effective option. For those reasons, we have decided to recommend MailChimp and provide templates that are tailored to their system.
How to use the MailChimp Templates Manual
Using the Generic HTML templates in iContact
For iContact, you can create a new message by going into the Message Coder tool (instead of Message Builder) and just cut and paste all of the HTML code right into the tool. Some tweaking may be required to customize to your particular newsletter.
Download the Templates
To download, use the following instructions:
- To a PC—Right click on the file and choose “save target as.” Save the zip file to your computer and extract all files.
- To a Mac—Click on the file and use the default open option—you will then have to open the file from the “Download” window.
If you have questions or need assistance with these templates, please contact Ann Greazel, firstname.lastname@example.org.
This software is no longer supported by Extension IT for external communication. However, it may still be used for internal communications.
