Nutritoin Series

Do you want to provide affordable, healthy foods for meals and snacks at your home? Do you want your whole family to engage in physical activities that promote good health? These two things are just part of what you will get out of the Loving Your Family, Feeding their Future series.

 The six-part series is slated to run from 11:00-12:00 noon on Fridays, September 28-November 3, at the Adair County Extension Office in Greenfield. Each session will include a light meal and on-site child care.

 Topics covered include: Family Meals – help plan quick, healthy meals and look at parent and child responsibilities; How Much Food and Activity-helping learn ways to get enough of the right kind of foods, but not too much, recognizeing a healthy lifestyle means payig attention to what you eat and how physically active you are each day; Vegetables and Fruits – Simple solutions to help parents get the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables in daily meals and get tips to encourage children to eat fruits and vegetables; Reading labels; Making half your grains whole; Build strong bones, Snacking by MyPlate; Keep food safe, and Fast food.

 There is no cost to attend the series, but advance registration is requested to ensure sufficient supplies and child care are arranged.
