4-H Clover

Recordkeeping skills are an important life skill. Many 4-H alumni credit their experiences keeping a 4-H record book with helping them maintain records as an adult whether it is to file their income taxes or to run a business. Each year nearly fifty percent of Adair County 4-H’ers complete and submit a record book.

The Youth Action Committee encourages recordkeeping by offering a $10.00 incentive to every 4-H’er that completes a record book in addition to providing recognition for outstanding project work based on their records. Individuals and businesses can support this effort by becoming a Friend of 4-H Record Keeper. A cash contribution to the 4-H Booster Fund for at least $10 helps insure that all 4-H’ers completing a 4-H record book, will receive a cash incentive and those who do superior project work will be recognized with special awards. Gifts to the

4-H Booster Fund are tax deductible.

If you’d like to become a Friend of 4-H Record Keeper for the Adair County 4-H program, please contact Donna or Deb at the Adair County Extension Office: 641-743-8412 or 1-800-ISUE 399.
