The federal Worker Protection Standard (WPS) is a regulation developed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency to protect agricultural workers from the harmful effects of pesticides and their residues.
The purpose of this online course is to provide agricultural employers with information needed to meet the WPS training requirements for agricultural workers on farms, forests, nurseries, and greenhouses. Completion of this course is one way employers can meet the criteria required to deliver WPS training to their employees. It is also excellent refresher for employers who are already eligible to conduct WPS training. Upon completion, agricultural employers will be qualified as WPS worker trainers by the Pesticide Bureau of the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.
