ISU Extension World Wide Web Committee

charcoal bullet Mission of the WWW Committee

The Extension World Wide Web Committee was created in March 1995 to provide design and content guidelines to Extension units wishing to create pages for the World Wide Web. The committee's function is to assist people in creating high quality, professional looking web pages that reflect the image of ISU Extension. ISU Extension personnel wishing to create Web pages are encouraged to contact the WWW Committee for design and guideline assistance. Web pages that meet design and content guidelines can be linked to the ISU Extension's official web pages.

The committee meets to review pages and update sections of the web server. Sections viewable by the public typically go through two reviews before they are linked into the system. Therefore, please plan for and expect up to six weeks for new material to be reviewed and linked before being made accessible to ISU Extension clients.

Requests to review material should be sent to wwwcommittee@exnet.iastate.edu and should include: Starting web address of the material to be reviewed, the author's name and e-mail address, a short description of the material, and the title and location of the link to be made.
