Juntos: Together for a Better Education has reached more than 250 families in eight Iowa communities. The ISU Extension and Outreach program aims to help Latino students pursue higher education. As part of the program’s growth, 16 people were trained this spring to become facilitators who will implement Juntos programs in a greater number of Iowa communities.
“We link youth and parents together. Parents have a lot of influence in helping shape the education of their children,” said Kimberly Greder, an associate professor and Human Sciences Extension and Outreach specialist.
