Universal Design Learning Lab
Located in 78 LeBaron Hall at Iowa State University, the Universal Design Learning Lab was created to help Iowans understand the benefits of universal design. The lab features the "Home for All Ages" constructed by ISU Extension staff for the 1990 Farm Progress Show. The home is updated frequently to showcase recent advancements in universal design and also includes assistive technology for persons with disabilities.

Display Trailers
Trailers with bathroom displays and kitchen displays that demonstrate universal design features are available for use at community events, such as home shows, health fairs, and expos. The bathroom display trailer shows both a transfer shower and a roll-in shower. The kitchen display trailer features a prototype display of kitchen cabinets with modular components that can be adapted easily with simple tools to accommodate people with a variety of heights, ages, and abilities.
