Low resource families find it challenging to choose and prepare healthy foods within a limited budget. Iowa State University Extension's Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and Family Nutrition Program (FNP) helps families in more than 30 counties learn to make informed choices about low-cost, nutritious foods; to better manage family finances; and to become more self-sufficient.
