Answers to the Food Safety Quiz

Correct. Your refrigerator should be kept between 32 and 40 degrees F. Consider keeping a thermometer in your refrigerator to help you monitor the temperature. A temperature of 40 degrees or less is important because it slows the growth of most bacteria. This temperature won't kill the bacteria, but it will keep them from multiplying. Freezing at zero F or less stops bacterial growth, but it will not kill bacterial already present.
