Sorry! This is not the answer we're looking for. Although a study done at Iowa State University showed that borax will reduce a creeping Charlie infestation in turfgrass, it can harm the grass plants. If the mixture is applied too strong, it will harm turf and other vegetation. Boron, the active ingredient in Borax, will kill any vegetation if used in sufficient quantities. Because of this, it is not a recommended method to control creeping Charlie in turfgrass or other plantings.
