Fall Field Day

Research Association and Iowa State University leaders will begin the celebration followed by several topics:

*    Grain Market Outlook - Chad Hart, extension grain markets specialist

*    Weed Management - Robert Hartzler, extension weed specialist

*    Soil Fertility - Antonio Mallarino, extension specialist in agronomy

*    Water Quality - Matt Helmers, extension agricultural engineer

*    Corn and Soybean Production - Mark Licht, cropping systems agronomist

*    Windbreaks - Jesse Randall, extension forester

*    Home gardening - Cynthia Haynes, extension specialist in horticulture


The program is provided at no cost and is open to the public.


CCAs can receive credits for a fee.

Directions to the Northeast Research and Demonstration Farm:
From Highway 218, take Exit 220 at Nashua, turn west on B-60 / 280th Street / Lexington Avenue and go for 1.5 miles. Turn left (south) on Windfall Avenue and go for 1 mile to 290th Street. Turn left (east) and go to the farm. The farm is located at 3325 290th Street, Nashua, IA 50658-9270.
