Training in Preparation for the Commercial Pesticide Applicator Exams

9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2014

Washington County Extension Office, Washington, IA

 

Topics to be covered include the Iowa Core Manual, 1A – Ag Weeds, 1B – Ag Insects, 1C – Ag Diseases, 3 – Ornamental, Turf, Greenhouse, 4 – Seed Treatment, and 6 – Right-of-Way.  The fee is $25.  Participants may bring their own study manuals with them or purchase them on site.

Field Crop Scout School

8:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2014, Ames

 

The Field Crop Scout School is designed for those who have little or no previous scouting experience and plan to work as crop scouts. The school provides field crop scouts with an overview of the basic diagnostic skills required for recognizing and documenting field crop problems in corn and soybean.
