New web site on animal agriculture and air quality

by Angela Rieck-Hinz, Department of Agronomy

Animal Agriculture and Air Quality at http://www.extension.iastate.edu/airquality/homepage.html is a new Web site created by Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and the College of Agriculture, where you can link to reports and abstracts on current ISU research on odor and emissions related to animal agriculture. From this site you also can access extension publications evaluating odor control practices in Iowa, resources from other states, and news regarding air quality meetings and workshops.

Animal Agriculture and Air Quality links to the Iowa Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations Air Quality Study, the joint report released February 8, 2002, by ISU and the University of Iowa. For more information about the report, see the article on page 5 of this issue of the Odor and Nutrient Management newsletter.
