Confinement site manure applicator training workshops continue

byAngela Rieck-Hinz, extension program specialist, Department of Agronomy

Iowa State University Extension is offering 2-hour workshops throughout the state for confinement site manure applicators. Confinement site manure applicators are producers who apply their own manure. The workshops started in June and will continue in August and September. The law requires confinement site manure applicators to become certified by October 1, 1999, to handle manure. Confinement site applicators may become certified by attending a workshop or by passing a written exam. For more information about the training workshops, please call the numbers listed.
