Manure management resource available
by Angela Rieck-Hinz, program assistant
The Iowa Manure Management Action Group (IMMAG) has initiated a web page to serve as a clearinghouse for information on manure management issues.
The site contains information on manure management plans, soil and manure testing labs and resource personnel, and discusses current research on nutrient management and odor control. The page also has links to other sites regarding manure management issues.
The web page is designed by Iowa State University and supported by the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
IMMAG is a state-level committee of representatives from private and public sector agencies and commodity groups. Members of IMMAG represent the following groups: Agribusiness Association of Iowa, Iowa Pork Producers Association, Iowa Cattlemen's Association, Iowa Poultry Association, Iowa Environmental Council, Iowa Farm Bureau, Farm Credit Services, Conservation Districts of Iowa, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Division of Soil Conservation of the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, Natural Resources Conservation Service and Iowa State University Extension and the College of Agriculture.
