Iowa County 4-H'er Earns Rabbit Project Award

AMES, Iowa – Bethany Welsh of Iowa County received a state 4-H rabbit project award that includes a $100 savings bond from the Mary Jo and Glen Mente Endowment and the Iowa 4-H Foundation. Welsh, 16, is the daughter of Bob and Nancy Welsh of Williamsburg.
During her nine years of 4-H she has been actively involved in the rabbit, photography, citizenship, leadership and food and nutrition project areas. At the local level she has received the Mke a Difference, senior achievement, photography, rabbit and communications awards. Welsh also has attended the Citizenship-Washington Focus and Iowa 4-H Youth Conference. A county and area 4-H council member, she has served as president, vice president, historian and card person of her club.
Welsh is a junior at Williamsburg High School.
