AMES, Iowa – Nicole Morgan of Woodbury County received a state 4-H beef project award that includes a $100 savings bond from the Mary Jo and Glen Mente Endowment and the Iowa 4-H Foundation.  Morgan, 15, is the daughter of Ron and Danette Morgan of Cushing.

During seven years in 4-H, Morgan has completed several major projects including beef, communications, personal development, issues and photography.  She has received state honors including communications, clothing selection, personal development and issues project awards.  She also has received breeding and showmanship awards at the county level.  Morgan served as photographer, historian and reporter for her local 4-H club.  She also served on the county 4-H council and the 4-H Exchange program, hosting a Japanese student.

Morgan is a sophomore and is homeschooled.
