Boone County 4-H'er Earns Music Project Award

AMES, Iowa – Holly Kauffman of Boone County received a state 4-H music project award that includes a $100 savings bond from the Mary Jo and Glen Mente Endowment and the Iowa 4-H Foundation. Kauffman, 18, is the daughter of Tom and Frances Kauffman of Boxholm.
During 10 years in 4-H, Kaufman has completed several major projects including sheep, photography, food and nutrition, music and citizenship. She has received state honors including state 4-H music awards, gold projects, achievement, merit and outstanding performer awards. She has served as president, vice-president, reporter, photographer, recreation and historian for her local 4-H club. She also has served on the county 4-H council, county youth committee and the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference.
Kauffman is a freshman at Iowa State University.
