Landscape Plants for Mositure Extremes/Waterwise Landscaping

  • 07/23/2013 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

The Iowa Master Gardener program is once again offering a series of summer webinars to be hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach-Story County. Because our weather patterns have rapidly moved from dought to flood, the 2013 series is titled "Moisture Extremes in the Landscape". Dates, presenters, and topics for the 2013 session are: • July 23 - Richard Jauron - "Landscape Plants for Moisture Extremes"; Denny Schrock - "Waterwise Landscaping" • August 13 - Jeff Iles - "Diagnosing Drought Damage, Flood Damage, and Other Abiotic Stress Injury on Landscape Trees & Shrubs". The series, in its fourth year, is offered by the Iowa Master Gardener program in response to requests for more Iowa gardening educational opportunities. The sessions are open to all interested gardeners; participants are not required to have completed Master Gardener training to attend, however the session will fulfill Master Gardener continuing education requirements. Cost to participate is $5 for Master Gardeners and $10 for the gardening public per session. Sessions will be held at the Story County Extension office, 220 H Avenue in Nevada (unless otherwise noted) from 6:30-8:30pm. YOU MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND AND SPACE IS LIMITED.
