Iowa State University Extension and the ISU Campus Community Partnership for Health conducted a community health needs assessment on behalf of the Story County Community Coalition (SCCC).

Counties across the state are required to conduct an assessment every five years and to use it to plan health promotion programming.
In May, a random sample of residents from across the county received a printed survey (2010 Story County Health and Human Services Assessment) and were asked to return them in a postage-paid envelope. A shorter, online-version of the survey was also created to allow other residents to contribute to the assessment.
The assessments are back and the data is being compiled.
The ISU Campus Community Partnership for Health is working with the Story County Community Coaliton in creating a Health Improvement Plan using data collected from the survey.
Check back in March for the full report.
