Proper Food Storage Station

This icon is one of the International Food Safety Icons produced by the International Association of Food Protection. Visit their web site for terms of use.Objective - Participants will be able to demonstrate appropriate storage and product rotation.

Learning Activities

  • A refrigerator will be on display and open to show the inside. The inside will be highlighted to show the warm and cool spots.
  • Products (empty boxes) will be provided to the participants. They will have to place the products in the appropriate place in the refrigerator according to guidelines.
  • Several of the same product will be provided with a date and time label to see if they rotate the product correctly.
