CONNECTING LEARNING AND LIVING TRAINING for all youth educators

February 24 & 25, 2006 (5 p.m. on Friday through 5 p.m. on Saturday)
Iowa 4-H Center, Madrid Iowa

This overnight retreat will introduce you to valuable and fun lessons that you can teach in your classrooms or out-of-school programs. The Connecting Learning and Living (CLL) combines K-3 Growing in the Garden, 4 - 8 Where We Live, and K-12 Food, Land and People curricula with the purpose of connecting student learning to living on the planet Earth. The curricula align with the Iowa Test of Basic Skills questions, national and local standards and benchmarks, Targeting Life Skills and Experiential Education models. The content matter is up-to-date and research-based. Training helps educators become familiar with using the lessons and evaluating student outcomes.

COST*: $50 - includes: overnight lodging at the ISU 4-H Center, all meals, the curriculum, books, tapes, CD's, posters and other materials that are appropriate for the grad level you teach.

One AEA credit is available for an additional fee.
