New and Revised Growing in the Garden for Classrooms

Revised and Updated Growing in the Garden for Grades PreK - 3Check out how powerful the prairie was for Laura Ingalls Wilder in a new Growing in the Garden (GITG) activity found on Lesson Ideas. Then go to the Latest News and look at a list of more than 40 fun, hands-on, new and revised Growing in the Garden: PreK-3rd Grade lessons coming in 2008. Besides “Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Life on the Prairie,” GITG now includes four new MyPyramid lessons, two new farm animal lessons, and expanded versions of the other popular lessons. All lessons are based on standards and benchmarks for science, language arts, math, social studies, health, and the arts; experiential education (do, reflect, apply) and the 5 E learners as inquirers model; multiple intelligences (learning styles); and life and character building skills such as critical thinking, communication and responsibility.
