Stewardship of Transgenic Products – Traceability Protocol for Producers– This project will determine how traceability, in its various forms, might apply in U.S. markets to concurrently solve food safety, consumer preference, security, product valuation needs and socially responsible production of differentiated or genetically-enhanced grains.

Stewardship of Transgenic Products – Agronomic Needs – This project will develop the appropriate pest management programs for transgenic crops to insure continued utility of traits and socially responsible production to effectively manage pests and maintain profitability.

Training in Storage and Biosecurity Issues – This project will create support and training programs for the application of internationally recognizable quality management systems in grain production, storage and security.

Uniformity of Output-Trait Measurement: Traits Related to Bio-fuels – This project will identify sustainable and equitable marketing structures and resolve developing problems related to differentiated grains and bio-based processing co-products.

Impacts of Increased Local Processing: Soybean Processing Study Continuation - This project will create a complete inventory and grain management impact of soybean processing in Iowa.

Impacts of Increased Local Processing: Caloric balance for food and fuel – This project will examine the capacity of Iowa to supply necessary feed grains, oilseeds and animal fats in quantities sufficient for efficient and economical pork and poultry production. 

Impacts of Increased Local Processing: Uses Update – This project will continue to update soybean and corn processing databases.

Biomass Quality and Quantity – This project will examine cellulosic ethanol advance in biofuels.
