Description: The Wright County Extension Office has a new women’s program that combines crop growing practices in the summer with managing and marketing grain in the winter. Cost : $50 for 10 sessions Please send payments by May 12th payable to: Wright County Extension Participants will leave with multiple handouts and tools to help better understand growing crops. Sessions: ISU Northern Research Farm, Kanawha 310 S Main St. Kanawha, IA May 16, 5:45-7:00 p.m. — Planting, crop growth and replant decisions June 13, 5:45-7:00 p.m. — Crop staging and basic weed ID July 11, 5:45-7:00 p.m. — Insect and disease ID and treatments August 8, 5:45-7:00 p.m. — Water quality practices September 5, 5:45-7:00 p.m. — Soil sampling strategies A five session winter series will follow on crop inputs, cost management and grain marketing.
