The Alabama Cooperative Extension System has used virtual private networking (VPN) technology to connect Extension offices for several years. This technology has allowed us to focus on Extension priorities instead of spending time and travel to troubleshoot desktop computers. We'll describe the technology, our network, the benefits, the pitfalls, and how you might design and fund a similar project.
