Iowa Farmland Rental Rates 1994-2009 (USDA)

Cropland rental rates averaged $180 per acre in 2009, up $10 per acre from 2008. This was the highest value ever recorded. Cash rent for pastures averaged $43 per acre in 2009, an increase of $1 from the previous year. Rent as a percentage of land value was slightly higher than in 2008.
