The Iowa 4-H Foundation Club Legacy Growth Fund is a "new" revolving fund to help counties strengthen or start new 4-H clubs or address quality issues and needs in current clubs.
With the 4-H Club Legacy Growth Fund project, any county, current 4-H club, or potential 4-H club may apply for funds in an amount up to $500.00. The entity receiving funding would have two years to pay forward (repay) 75% of the awarded funding. This provides the revolving fund sustainability to support club improvement and growth.
So, if a County Extension Unit received $500.00 on September 1, 2009, it would have until August 31, 2011 to "pay forward" $375.00 to help another club thus maintaining a revolving fund for future 4-H Club expansion. What better way to model generosity than a system set up to help new and current clubs who can then pay it forward to help future clubs? Commit now and make a gift toward the 4-H Club Legacy Growth Fund.
