Pioneer Community Improvement Grants

The objective of these grants is to stimulate local 4-H clubs in Iowa to plan and carry out community improvement activities by providing “seed money” needed to make the projects successful.

Pioneer will provide up to $5,000, with grants amounts ranging from a minimum of $25 to a maximum of $250, to the selected 4-H clubs in Iowa. Awards will be made directly to the clubs through the Iowa 4-H foundation from Pioneer as soon as selections are made. 4-H Service Project

Local clubs should  fill out the application using the Information & Tips  sheets. All application materials should be submitted to the county Extension office by December 5 (or very soon after).  A county staff member should review applications as they arrive (with the youth chairperson, if possible), making sure they are complete, the budget is correct, and a support letter from the benefitting entity is included.  County Staff will then add comments at the end, sign the application and  then forward the completed application to the State 4-H Office.  All applications are to be postmarked no later than January 6.
