LEGO Mindstorms introduces science, math, engineering, and technology skills along with lifeskills for grades 4-8. If you're in high school, check out the list of [Other Resources] below for great oportunities!
Using the activity guide and “Robotics and You” CD, you can build and program a robot to perform increasingly difficult tasks. You will be ready to join the FIRST LEGO League annual national competition after building your robot.
Robotics EXPLORER, Unit 1
The RoboLab language introduces programming concepts. Learn what a robot is, how to build one, and how to program the robot to use sensors to interact with its environment, work with a team, learn to make decisions and organize information to complete the 14 activities.
Robotics PROBE, Unit 2
Learn advanced topics in both programming and mechanics. Advance your programming techniques, use subroutines and variables to achieve more precise movements of your robots, and build custom functions. Practice and develop creative thinking.
