Hold the dates! 2015 State Volunteer Retreat is February 6 - 7

at Iowa State University, Ames.

2014 State Volunteer Retreat, Iowa State University, Ames.

The Retreat is designed as a train-the-trainer event and participants are encouraged to use information from the sessions to teach 4-H members in their clubs and counties.

Friday evening's focus was on community service and met at the Extension 4-H Youth Building. Volunteers, 4-H members, and staff created Little Dresses for Africa, made cards for Veterans, tied together fleece blankets, and built Bluebird and Wood Duck houses to donate to the DNR.

Saturday morning workshops met at the Memorial Union and the Saturday afternoon sessions were in labs on campus.

The annual State Volunteer Retreat is planned and implemented by a committee of 4-H volunteers and sponsored by ISU Extension and Outreach 4-H. Thanks to the many volunteers and ISU staff and faculty who led the workshops.

For those of you who have attended before - thanks for joining us for a great weekend of fun and learning! For those of you who have not attended - think about joining us in 2015!
