85 4-H volunteers, staff, and youth participated in the 2013 State Volunteer Retreat sponsored by Monsanto.

4-H Meeting in a Bag

In our fast paced lives as 4-H volunteers, it is not always easy to be prepared for that monthly meeting.  Volunteers led five short hands on sessions on electricity, woodworking, photography, recycling, and recreation. Participants received handouts and supplies for all of five sessions. With these 4-H Meetings in a Bag, volunteers are prepared to pull the resources they need out of their closet and be ready for fun-filled, educational meetings.

Saturday

Participants engaged in 18 fun, interactive workshops.

The annual State Volunteer Retreat is planned and implemented by a committee of 4-H volunteers and sponsored by ISU Extension and Outreach 4-H and Monsanto. Thanks to the many volunteers and ISU Extension and Outreach staff who led the workshops.

For those of you who have attended before - thanks for joining us for a great weekend of fun and learning! For those of you who have not attended - think about joining us in 2014!

Thanks to Monsanto for their continued support of this volunteer training!
