Animal Science Roundup is a three-day immersive program for youth grades 8-12 that have an interest in one of the following areas: beef cattle, dairy cattle, dogs, horse, poultry, sheep, or swine. Youth spend time on the Iowa State University research and teaching farms working with animals learning about health, nutrition, behavior, genetics, and reproduction. Each project is limited to the first 20 youth that sign up but if you do not get your first choice you can be considered for another project.  Evening activities are the same as the conference delegates.

The event will begin with a large group program on antibiotics and end with an escape room activity based on animal welfare.
