4HOnline Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact Becky Nibe if you have suggestions for other questions to post on this page.

  • My labels aren't printing right--the bottom of the sheet is wrong.
When you select "Print" from the Page View or PDF screen, you will see a print dialog box specific for PDF documents. In the middle of the left side of the screen, there is a pull-down option for "Page Scaling". You must pull that down to "None" in order for your labels to print correctly. You must select that option each time you print labels, as there is no way to set it for default on the printer dialog box.
  • How do I get labels for my beef kids (or any other project/group/club)?
    1. Select any report format from the "custom" reports.
    2. Choose Edit report.
    3. Go to the Standard Filters screen and use the options at the top to select project(s), or club(s) or groups. Place the correct projects/clubs/groups in the right-side box by using the ">>" button.
    4. For newsletter labels, you'd probably leave all filter options blank.
    5. SAVE before you leave this screen.
    6. Choose Member Correspondence for member labels, or Family Correspondence for family labels.
  • My password won't work.
There are 2 ways to reset your password: click on the "I forgot my password" link on the login page of 4HOnline, or send me a message and I'll reset it for you. Either way, a message will be sent to your county account with the new password. Don't forget to tell everyone else in your office that the password was changed!!
  • I'm having pop-up blocker issues, even though I set it to allow pop-ups.
All browser issues can be resolved by switching to Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Log in to your computer as Administrator, then go to http://www.mozilla.com to download Firefox. When it's finished downloading, double-click on it to install it on your computer. REMEMBER that if you are the CMS person in your county, you must still use IE to edit web pages. You can set 4HOnline (http://iowa.4honline.com) as your default homepage in Firefox, especially if you're only going to use Firefox for that purpose.
