Dr. Chuck Morris, Director - cmorris@iastate.edu

The director provides statewide vision and direction to Iowa Youth and 4-H Programs, and is an advocate for 4-H Youth Development with various university and campus extension administrative groups.

Brenda Allen, Program Specialist - bsallen@iastate.edu

Brenda's responsibilities include leadership for State 4-H Council, State Conference, Collegiate 4-H, International programs, and some out-of-state 4-H trips.

Janet Anderson, Youth Development Specialist - janeta@iastate.edu

Janet provides leadership to our Value Added Agriculture project, "Growing in the Garden", and is the primary author of this K-8 grade curriculum. Much of her time is spent in training extension staff and volunteers to deliver this program through school enrichment and special interest groups venues.

Mike Anderson, Ag Program Coordinator - mikeande@iastate.edu

Mike provides support for Iowa 4-H Roundup, Iowa State Fair, and 4-H agriculture programs.

Theresa Samson , Accountant - tjsamson@iastate.edu

The accountant for the State 4-H Youth Development office,  Iowa 4-H Foundation, and the 4-H Center.

Holly Bignall, Program Coordinator - hbignall@iastate.edu

Holly coordinates Extension Science Engineering and Technology Youth Initiative (E-SET) Youth Initiative programs. She supports SET education for youth, and provides professional development for staff and volunteers who are involved with SET programs for youth.

Sue Bogue, Program Specialist - suebogue@iastate.edu

Sue manages the 4-H publications inventory and the literature ordering process, provides leadership for the State Fair clothing event and Family & Consumer Science curriculum, and coordinates Iowa's Promise and Pioneer Grants.

Don Broshar, Youth Development Specialist - dbroshar@iastate.edu

Don provides leadership for the Youth In Governance POW (including the leadership project), training in youth development content, serves as the principle investigator for the AmeriCorps State of Promise initiative, represents 4-H Youth Development on the Iowa Collaboration for Youth Development, and serves on the 4-H Youth Development Leadership Council and the Management Team.

Joan Donovan, Clover Kids Coordinator - jdonovan@Lcom.net

Joan provides support for Clover Kids programs in Iowa. She trains volunteers and staff through workshops on group management, positive discipline, developmentally appropriate practices and activities for K-3 youth.

Judy McCarthy, Project Coordinator - mccarthy@iastate.edu

Judy coordinates the AmeriCorps State of Promise project and provides leadership for the Promise Fellows team. 

Chris Gleason, 4-H Program Coordinator - cgleason@iastate.edu

Chris coordinates volunteer development, the WOW Center, the 4-H Hall of Fame, and Operation: Military Kids and provides support for State Conference and the Iowa State Fair.

 

Shelly Greving, Marketing Coordinator Iowa 4-H Foundation - shellyg@iastate.edu

Shelly is responsible for coordinating marketing and public relations for the Iowa 4-H Foundation and, by extension, the Iowa 4-H Youth Development Program.

Albert M. Grunenwald, Assoc. Director Iowa 4-H Foundation - abgrunen@iastate.edu

Albert oversees annual fund campaigns, special events, marketing, donor communications, web site development, program grants, and financial assistance.

Traci Haselhuhn, Program Specialist - tracidh@iastate.edu

Traci is the Program Specialist at the Iowa 4-H Center, and is responsible for all program content offered at the Iowa 4-H Center.

Lynnette is the office coordinator. (and that's more than enough to keep her very busy!)

Mitch Hoyer, 4-H Program Specialist - mhoyer@iastate.edu

Mitch provides organizational support for record keeping, recognition, out-of-state opportunities, State Fair 4-H exhibits building and judge's training.

Joe Leisz, Executive Director Iowa 4-H Foundation - jleisz@iastate.edu

Joe leads resource development through the foundation and maintains trustee relations. He recruits donors for recognition, and strengthens private and public partnerships.

Judy Levings, Youth Development Specialist - jlevings@iastate.edu

Judy leads the State 4-H Volunteer Development Plan of Work committee, curriculum development effort, and serves on the Leadership Council and Management Team. She is also giving leadership to 4-H Fish Iowa and the Food, Land and People program.

Mary Kay Litzel, Secretary - mklitzel@iastate.edu

Mary Kay is the receptionist for 4-H, provides support for the Scholarship, Recognition, Leader/Youth Awards; Judges Training;"Iowa's Promise Youth" and Pioneer grants programs; and the Iowa State Fair 4-H Exhibits Building.

Peggy Martin, EFNEP Program Coordinator

Peggy administers the Extension Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program for Iowa State University and works with EFNEP program staff across the state to ensure quality programming and delivery.

Phyllis Mondt, Secretary - pmondt@iastate.edu

Phyllis is the departmental telephone receptionist and provides support for the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference, State Council, and Shooting Sports. She schedules display and banner checkouts and helps maintain and update library holdings.  

Becky Nibe, Program Coordinator- bnibe@iastate.edu

Becky provides support for the Blue Ribbon Youth Enrollment program, website design and development, data management and statistical reports, and is the coordinator for 4-H Day at the Legislature.

Roberta is the secretary and receptionist for the Iowa 4-H Foundation.

John Roosa, Manager, Iowa 4-H Camp - jroosa@iastate.edu

John is responsible for the Iowa 4-H Center site and program development.

Vicki Speake, Secretary - speake@iastate.edu

Vicki provides support for the E-SET program. She maintains records on participants attending workshops and inservices held by E-SET and updates E-SET's web page.

Jay Staker, Director - Extension Science Engineering and Technology Youth Initiative (E-SET) - jstaker@iastate.edu

Jay assists in preparing Iowa's youth for the careers of tomorrow by supporting and providing information on resources in science, engineering and technology (SET) youth programming; offering exciting hands-on professional development opportunities in SET programming for educators and youth professionals; and consulting in development of SET youth programs for both schools and nonformal learning environments.

Keli Tallman, Youth Development Specialist - ktallman@iastate.edu

Keli provides leadership to the 4-H Afterschool Plan of Work Committee and serves on the 4-H Leadership Team. She is the state liaison for National 4-H Afterschool, and represents the Iowa 4-H Youth Development Program as an ex-officio member on the Iowa Community Education Association Board. She is a board member of the Iowa Afterschool Alliance's Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and is the Chair of the Quality Work Group. Additionally, Keli provides leadership to the Iowa 4-H Program's statewide evaluation framework.

Carol provides the secretarial support for the 4-H agriculture program.

Steve Truby, E-SET (currently on appt w/US Army Youth Program)

Steve provides Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) support to extension field staff, and educators in Iowa.
