This is a collection of some resources that may help you with your use of Filemaker in your county office. If you have information or resources to share, please email the Filemaker mailing list or Becky Nibe.
Descriptions for Level 1 and 2 are below. There are currently no workshops scheduled. Look for information in the fall of 2009 about new workshops. If you have a request for a specific type of workshop, send an e-mail to Becky Nibe, describing the sorts of information and tasks that you would like.
Level 1 Objectives:
Target Audience: Filemaker users, as opposed to developers, including people with little or no Filemaker experience or training. The class will be conducted on the assumption that participants have little or no prior experience with basic Filemaker concepts and tasks. If you already know how to create layouts and work easily with records, you may be bored during a large portion of the workshop.
Level 2 Objectives:
Target Audience: People that have experience with Filemaker databases, including at a minimum, the ability to create a flat-file database with simple layouts—mailing lists, for instance. There isn't time to cover the basics of Filemaker, so the class is conducted based on a user with those skills. If you're a new user, this class isn't for you.
