Iowa 4-H Afterschool Lesson Plans

Below you will find lesson plans (PDF format) developed by Iowa 4-H Youth Development Specialists that correspond to various 4-H project curricula. Lesson plans were developed to assist Extension staff in marketing user-friendly 4-H project materials with out-of-school time/after-school personnel.

Lesson Plan Survey

The Iowa 4-H Afterschool Plan of Work Committee has also created an Iowa 4-H Afterschool Lesson Plan Survey. The survey provides a means to indicate program activity statistical information that can be used by County Extension Offices as well as provides a way for users to indicate constructive feedback that can be used to strengthen 4-H project lesson plans.

Extension staff are asked to print a copy and complete the Iowa 4-H Afterschool Lesson Plan Survey after using a 4-H Afterschool project lesson plan. Mary TeWinkel will collect survey information and send a copy of the survey to the corresponding County Extension Office where the lesson plan activities were used. Additionally, a copy of the survey will be sent to the corresponding Youth Development Specialist who created the lesson plan.
