Wright County Extension
organized a Monday night Music in the Park fund raiser, complete with
grilled pork tenderloin sandwich meal, July 30, to help the 4-H museum
defray costs of painting and routine maintenance. The reputations of
the musical line-up and the Ruritans grilling expertise helped fill
the park with ISU alumni, and family and friends of ISU Extension and
4-H. Musical acts included three 4-Hers performing their Share the Fun
talents and an adult female duet of a former ISU Singer and her co-worker.
Just over $700 was raised for the museum fund. Lynette Pohlman, ISU
Director of Museums, was on hand to present a bronze plaque, recognizing
Wright County Extension’s
community service project as an ISU 150th event.
