Iowa State University Extension

ISU Sesquicentennial Service Project,
Plymouth County Extension, October 2007

Plymouth County Extension planted a tree at each of the seven schools in Plymouth County in honor of the education they have provided students and in recognition of the foundation the schools have given youth as they have gone on and furthered their education at Iowa State University or other post high school institutions. ISU Alumni and friends made contributions to purchase the trees from local nurseries. The trees were planted in October at the following school locations in Plymouth County: Akron-Westfield, Kingsley-Pierson, Gehlen Catholic, Hinton, Le Mars Community, Remsen-Union and Remsen St. Mary's. The bronze plaque is framed with a photo of each school and it is on display in the Plymouth County Extension Office.
