Sixty-five community members,
including ISU
Alums, Rotarians, and Extension Council members participated in the
Boone River Clean-Up. In a 4.6 mile stretch from Riverside Park in
Webster City to Briggs Wood Park, volunteers extracted and sorted
approximately 150 tires, one tone of scrap metal and another large
dumpster full of miscellaneous trash. The most notable items were
a complete car transmission and a golf bag. More accurate numbers
will be available, once we get weights from the land fill. It was
one hot and sweaty day.
